As first time visitors to Singapore, there were many places to visit and activities we wanted to do, but given the limited time we had in hand it was not possible to finish off everything in our list. However, after spending three awesome days in the Lion City here are some amazing things one could do in Singapore.
1. Singapore Flyer

Take a ride in the Singapore Flyer (165 metres), world’s second tallest Ferris wheel to watch the beautiful sunset. The 30-minute ride inside the glass capsule is a perfect way to enjoy the panoramic view of the city and in the evenings the softly lit major landmarks like Marina Bay Sands, the Fullerton Hotel, Helix bridge are a sight to watch. If you are lucky enough you will also be able to catch a glimpse of parts of Indonesia and Malaysia as well. The ticket costs $33 SGD, although it is bit pricey we loved every moment of this joyride.

2. Supertree Groves

Enjoy the light and music show at the Supertrees Grove (Vertical Garden) of the Gardens by the Bay called The Garden Rhapsody, which is held at 7.45 pm and 8.45 pm. Since it was the Christmas season, the garden was decorated beautifully with the festive theme in mind. The Supertrees height varies between 25 metres to 50 metres and has an elevated walkway called the OCBC Skyway where you can enjoy breath-taking view of the gardens and also dine at the Supertree top café. Entry to the Skyway costs $5SGD but because of the long queue at the ticket counter we had to skip the skywalk and just content ourselves with the light show.

3. Eat

In a country where eating is not just a mere form of sustenance but a passion and an integral part of their culture, one will never go out of options on what to eat. Be it the hawkers food market or some Michelin starred restaurant, every place has something amazing to offer.
Here are some popular veg street foods:

4. Shopping

During our travels we usually reserve the last day for shopping as this gives us ample time to explore the place and get acquainted with the best shopping spots. The best part of travelling with family is that we can indulge in some good shopping experience without worrying on making hole in our pockets ;). Singapore is one of those cities where you can truly enjoy the shop till you drop experience. We loved the Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands and the Suntec City mall. Apart from these malls Singapore has a number of other shopping spots like ION Orchard, Little India and Bugis Junction.
5. Singapore’s highest bar

On our last night in Singapore we decided to go to 1-Altitude roof top bar at One Raffles Place building to sip on Singapore Sling (must try in Singapore) and enjoy the city’s nightlife. 1-Altitude is not just Singapore’s highest bar but also world’s highest al fresco bar. It was a perfect way to end the day gazing at the stars along with unobstructed view of the city.
