Looking for a way to experience the joy of floating in water with very little effort? Well, here is an option for both the non-swimmers and all the swimmers to enjoy few minutes of free-floating bliss. The Dead Sea, which is located between Israel and Jordan, is a large lake where one can easily lie back in the water without having to learn the practicalities of swimming.
The Dead Sea being the lowest point on earth (420m below sea level) has high water salinity almost about 10 times more than normal seawater. The high salt content makes it possible for the body to float in the water naturally, however this is also the reason why aquatic organisms are not able to survive in this sea. There are several spa resorts surrounding the sea that offers guided visit to the place. After the delightful dip in the sea one can pamper their skin with the mineral rich Dead Sea mud mask, which is said to be a great treatment for skin issues.
Being amateur swimmers, this unique destination is our ultimate destination to experience the happiness of free floating in the water. A few days in one of the spa resorts indulging in various beauty and health treatments and also swimming in the pristine blue sea gives us a perfect reason to add this to our unique travel bucket list.
