  1. Eiffel Tower

One might remember the reference (and yes the conspiracy theories that followed) to the beautiful structure in Dan Brown’s famous book “The Da Vinci Code”. The Louvre Pyramid is located at the entrance of one of the world’s largest and most visited museums, the Louvre Museum. The glass Pyramid is a landmark that one cannot miss during their visit to the museum. The stark contrast between the historic museum building and the modern structure gives a perfect backdrop for photography and this is one of the main reasons why it is flocked by tourists everyday. While you are at the museum checking out some of the finest art pieces, also do remember to catch a glimpse of the famous Mona Lisa smile just for you ;).

Built in the memory of the brave souls who fought for France during the French Revolution and the Napoleon Wars, the Arc de Triomphe is a National symbol and has a special place in the hearts of the French. Climb the stairs (about 230 steps) to the top of the monument to enjoy the panoramic view of the Champs-Elysées upto the Sacré Cœur.

Notre Dame de Paris is one of the largest cathedrals in the world and most visited landmark (after Eiffel Tower ofcourse!) in the country. A fine example of the French Gothic Architecture, Notre Dame de Paris is considered to be a place of great religious significance. The cathedral is located on the banks of River Seine and is a visual treat to all those seeking to explore historic architecture in the city.

The Sacré-Cœur Basilica is a monument one cannot help but fall in love with at the very first glimpse. The magnificent white structure stands atop the Montmartre hill, which is considered to the highest point in the city. Climb to the top of the dome roof to witness one of the most beautiful views of the Paris city.

The famous departmental store chain, Galaries Lafayette is a landmark in its own right. Even if one has no intentions of shopping at this luxury store, the beautiful interiors of the store are a sight to behold especially during the Christmas season when the place is at its fullest glorious.

  1. Pont Alexander III

ParisParis city has about 37 bridges running across River Seine and Pont Alexander III is one if the prettiest and grandiose bridge among all. Walk across the bridge to have a up-close look at the ornate lampposts and cherubs statues or take a cruise tour on the River Seine, either way be assured you will have manage to capture some of the most beautiful pictures with the bridge as the background.
